What started as an 18-year-old’s dream has turned into nearly two decades of style, growth, community, and a whole lot of heart.

In 2008, Paige launched 1 Happy Girl as an online boutique with a passion for fashion, an entrepreneurial spirit, and one simple goal: to create a place where women could find pieces that made them feel confident, happy, and completely themselves.

Just one year later, that dream found a home in Lemont, Illinois, when we opened our first brick-and-mortar store. Lemont became so much more than a storefront—it was where 1 Happy Girl grew up. Over the years, our little dream continued to grow, eventually expanding to four locations and, in 2016, opening our New Lenox store.

After 18 incredible years in Lemont, we recently made the difficult decision to close our original location. Ongoing road closures, rising operating costs, and the changing retail landscape made it time for us to say goodbye to the place where so many memories were made.

Closing Lemont wasn't the end of our story—it was the beginning of our next chapter.

Today, you can find us at our New Lenox location, proudly serving the community for 10 years, and right here online. New Lenox is now our one and only brick-and-mortar store, filled with the same personality, handpicked finds, and happy energy that have been at the heart of 1 Happy Girl since day one.

Through every season, every location, every challenge, and every change, one thing has remained the same: we love what we do, and we love the community that has allowed us to keep doing it.

We still believe in taking chances, trusting your gut, finding the outfit that makes you feel amazing, and embracing every new chapter—even the unexpected ones.

From an 18-year-old with a big idea, to 18 years in Lemont, 10 years in New Lenox, and thousands of amazing customers along the way, 1 Happy Girl has always been more than a boutique. It’s a dream that grew because you grew with us.
